As this is an replacement part professional paint prep and install (some sanding, priming, filling) is always needed.Mounting: Euro spec cars– you will need to remove the chrome rear bumper first. Your existing standard chrome bumper brackets will fit this bumper. Bolt your brackets to this new bumper and mount it on the car the same as you would mount an chrome bumper. Some washers can be used between the brackets and bumper to adjust the distance between the body and the bumper. The bumper sides have built in mounting points that use adjustable body nuts and are fixed to the fenders using included screws on existing body holes.US spec cars– you will need to remove your diving board bumper and its shock absorbers first. You will also need to use Euro spec rear chrome bumper brackets. To be able to mount the right side Euro bracket to the cars body you may need to cut a small hole in the USA spec reinforcement located inside the trunk that covers the area where you need to install the securing nut for the Euro bracket. The Euro brackets are then mounted to the bumper using one nut to the new bumper. Some washers can be used between the brackets and bumper to adjust the distance between the body and the bumper.
